The feasibility and viability of the establishment of a school depend on the number of learners at the school which should be neither too small nor too large. A.V.N. school was set up in 1979. The school got recognition upto 5th standard from the H.P. Government in the same year. The school went on getting recognition year after year. In 1988 the school became a recognized High School which remained till the year 1995 when the policy of the government changed and all the schools of Himachal Pradesh were affiliated to the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala. In 2006 the school was upgraded to the level of Senior Secondary School.
